  • Quality control of new home construction - making sure that you get what you are paying for, prior to paying the builder at each "stage" .

  • Pre-Purchase Inspections - Verifying the Structural Integrity; General soundness and functioning of services and finishes; Defects assessment; Damage Costing, Electrical Check and Safety audit.

  • Home Maintenance Reports - all the above - giving home owners the knowledge they need to protect their asset from potentially costly problems, including wet / dry rot, termite/rodent risk, structural failure, drainage failure and consequences, safety report, soil/footing movement etc.

  • Quality Building - from assisting the client with customer orientated design input, through to quality completion of the project: for new homes, extensions, and renovation works.

  • Maintenance and Rectification Works - Jack Mitchell can provide specialist skilled tradesmen to rectify any problems identified in the inspection report.
The Inspection Report covers:

  • A detailed examination of the interior, exterior, sub floor, roof cavity, roof surface, drainage, outbuildings and fences. The report provides a prioritised listing of defects and includes a realistic costing on the value of rectification. The report is available on the spot or delivered same day.

  • Checking of structural integrity, general condition and functioning, and electrical check, in the above areas.

  • Prioritised listing of major defects, including realistic cost of rectification of these. ( This section is invaluable for re-negotiation of the contract price.)

  • A safety audit covering handrail, stair, structural failure, asbestos presence and risk, checking of all glass areas for conformity with current Australian standards (ie: risk of laceration and serious injury to children through impact).

  • Electrical check covering: wiring cable deterioration, safety circuit breaker check, and 6 function power circuit check in living and bedroom areas (ie: for prevention of electrocution).
Inspection Times: - Monday - Friday 7am to 6pm.
